Common Dress Policy

Cherrywood is a Common Dress School

Common dress is not wearing a uniform but wearing the same color clothing. This is a way for all Cherrywood students to be easily identifiable and aid in the uniformity of our school.  Cherrywood students will have the following common dress policy:

Plain white or navy shirts (t-shirts, polos, collared shirts) and khaki (tan) or navy blue bottoms (jeans, shorts, skirts, skorts, sweat pants). Navy blue jumpers for girls will be allowed as well.  These items are relatively inexpensive and can be found at Target, WalMart and Kohl’s.  Some teachers have their own class t-shirts which may also be worn on appropriate days.

The school office will, also, continue to make available Cherrywood logo t-shirts, polos and sweatshirts for purchase, which are all acceptable to wear.  These clothing items are reasonably priced starting at $10.00 and available in sizes from small to adult sizes. We recommend 5 to 7 shirts and 3 to 5 bottoms. As you prepare for your Fall school shopping, please keep these suggestions in mind. Please refer any questions to the school office.

Shoes must be closed-toed but may be any color.  Back packs may be any color.  Jackets may, also, be any color.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office at (408) 923-1915.
